Carter's Coming to West Babylon in August

The children's clothing store joins Old Navy, The Children's Place and Justice in the Great South Bay Shopping Center.

The Great South Bay Shopping Center is about to add another quality storefront to its lineup – Cater's, a clothing store for young children from infants through seven years old, will be opening up this August in West Babylon.

Carter's features a wide variety and children's clothing for both boys and girls ranging from infant up to seven years old. The company also owns the well known children's brand OshKosh B’gosh, although it is unclear whether that brand will be sold at the West Babylon store. The store is targeted for for an August grand opening, although the official date has not yet been released.

Carter's will take over half of the location of the former FYE Music and Movies store, according to the property's owners Mall Properties, Inc. The other half of the storefront has been turned into a WeightWatchers dieting center.

Next door to these stores in the former Blockbuster storefront will also be the new GNC location and, as of the last update by the owner, an empty space still looking for an occupant. GNC will be moving from its local at the corner of the western edge of the shopping area.

Babylon Village Patch will continue looking into the approaching grand opening of Carter's and any other new stores in our area.
