PHOTOS: Devastation Along Babylon's Coast, Docks

The floodwaters from Hurricane Sandy have finally receded enough from Babylon Village's shoreline communities for families and emergency crews to get all the way to the end, revealing a heavily damaged bayview area.

Many notable buildings and areas sustained heavy flooding and wind damage, including the Venetian, boat yards and the Babylon Beach Club right along the docks-area. Other notable places, like Tres Palms and the Babylon Village Pool, suffered major structural damage.

Please note, residents of these communities have asked others from the community to not drive down these roads to see the destruction. They have asked any volunteers come and help, but to give them their privacy while dealing with the tragedy unfolding south of Montauk Highway.
