Astra from WBLI's Birthday Leukemia Benefit
I'm bringing it back this year - my BIRTHDAY ASTRA-VAGANZA..but this year, it's going to be a little different...not only will we be celebrating my birthday with surprise celebrity appearances...but we are looking to raise money to help out a really good cause!
Raquel Castro from NBC's The Voice and from the movie Jersey Girl performs live, plus appearances by April 2005 Playboy Playmate Courtney Culkin, Mikey D, Tommie & Mario - The guys from the reality show Carfellas on The Discovery Channel, Brigette from VH1's Tough Love, and from The Show Jerseylicious on Style Network - Frankie Sr, Carla and Frankie Jr who will be taking pics and signing autographs to help raise money.

We will be hosting a fundraiser for one of the family members of Cox Radio Long Island. This summer Danielle Heckman, one of the employees at WBLI’s son was diagnosed with Leukemia. Steven has been in remission for the past 2 weeks; however he is going to have to undergo intense Chemotherapy for the next three years. Steven has 2 sisters and the financial strain on the family is extremely difficult. Our hope is to raise donations to help the Heckman family deal with the financial strains of this illness.
Danielle is also extremely grateful for the treatment Steven has been receiving from the Cohen’s Children’s Hospital and wants to donate a portion of the proceeds back to the Hematology and Oncology Department to provide Laptops and Entertainment Systems for all of the rooms on the floor. Some children are there for months unable to see their younger sisters and brothers and the only means of communication is via Skype.

Lily Flanagans Pub, located just north of the Babylon Train Station in Babylon Village, is a family-owned pub and restaurant with an array of food items such as steaks, burgers, sandwiches, and traditional Irish specialties. The pub employs a very friendly staff; the establishment's owners will greet you at the tables and make you feel like their top priority. There are many domestic and imported beers on tap to enjoy while listening to live music and dancing the night away. Happy Hour is held every Mon - Fri from 4pm - 7pm.
