Lindenhurst Swim Club Welcomes New Head Coach Brian Washington

We would like to welcome new Head Coach Brian Washington to the Lindenhurst Swim Club. Coach Washington is the longtime Head Varsity swimming coach at Lindenhurst High School (1997- Present). Washington brings with him more than 25 years of coaching experience. Washington's credentials also include coaching positions with Long Island Aquatics Club, Islander Aquatics Club and was head coach of Lindenhurst Swim Club from 1999-2003. During his tenure at Lindenhurst High School, Washington has developed All-Americans, All-State and All-Long Island swimmers as well as Junior National qualifiers. Washington began his career as an Age group swimmer in Florida and was a member of the Dunedin Aquatic Club .Washington swam collegiality for Miami Dade, Brevard Community College and Division I Western Kentucky University specializing in freestyle and butterfly. Washington is a tenured special education teacher in the Copiague School district. Additionally, he is a long time Lifeguarding instructor for the American Red Cross.
