5 Things to Know: December 20th

Babylon gets a tiny break between outbreaks of rainy weather today.

1. Patch Forecast – Get ready for a wild ride of weather in the next week, starting Thursday evening. Babylon Village will see increasing clouds throughout the day and a high of 47° before heavy downpours of rain hit the area after sunset. Winds will also pick up through the night from 20 to 25 mph, gusting to 40 mph.

2. A relief fund for Town of Babylon residents, including all three villages, who were affected by Superstorm Sandy has been set up. Checks can be made out to “TOB Chiefs Hurricane Relief Fund” and mailed to: Town of Babylon Chiefs Association PO Box 682 Babylon NY, 11702. For further information, contact Ben Lamberson at 631-831-3908.
