Argyle Jewelers Donates $1000 to Rotary Relief Fund
Owner Joseph Tavellla matched $500 in funds collected with his own personal money.
Argyle Jewelers owner Joseph Tavella helped support a great grassroots cause in the village last week, presenting the Babylon Rotary Club with a $1,000 check to help the club's Hurricane Sandy Relief Fund.
Tavella collected $500 in his store throughout the holiday season and matched the total with $500 of his own personal money.
To date, the Rotary's Relief Fund has handed out grants of $500 to over 100 families throughout the Babylon Village, North Babylon, West Babylon and West Islip areas.
