Around Town: What's Happening Today in the Village

After this morning's Veteran's Day parade, there are more fun events to enjoy on the holiday.

After you enjoy today's parade on Deer Park Avenue, which kicks off at 10 am on Deer Park Avenue, there are more than a few options of things to do on Veteran's Day in Babylon Village. Here's a quick rundown:

Enjoy the photography of local resident Denise Rafkind whose work is on display at the Babylon Public Library throughout November. Hours are 10 am to 9pm today. All the photos displayed are available for purchase and if you would like to see more of her work, just visit her website.

Tonight the Babylon Village Arts Council begins its second Thursday concert series at the Babylon Masonic Lodge, located at 250 West Main Street.

The free two-hour music event begins at 7:30. The featured group is Late Nite Audio, a classic rock group from Long Island. The council is requesting that attendees bring a non-perishable food item that can be donated to a local food pantry.
