The Town of Babylon invites residents to attend its annual Earth Day Celebration this Saturday.

The Earth Day Celebration takes place on May 4 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m near the pond outside Town Hall on East Sunrise Highway in Lindenhurst.
The event will once again feature rides, games, vendors and assorted crafts.

The Town’s 2012 Earth Day celebration included educational presentations about it’s eco-friendly efforts such as the Long Island Green Homes and the Town’s resource recovery facility located in the landfill in West Babylon.

Earth Day was officially celebrated on April 22, 2013 with an annual theme of “The Face of Climate Change,” according to theEarth Day Network, a non-profit organization that works with 22,000 partners in 192 countries to broaden the environmental movement.
