Babylon Village Foxes Appear with Young Kit

Wild foxes that appeared in neighbors' yards throughout the winter make another appearance.

For all of the wildlife Long Island seems to offer, some animals are harder to spot than others. In Babylon, however, it seems our fiery-colored foxes always seem to be showing up in someone's yard.

Babylon resident John Frohlich sent Patch a few new photos he took recently of the same female fox earlier this past winter wandering around his backyard again, this time with an older male and a new younger kit in tow.

"Here is 'Boot' the Female with her new Kit," Frohlich wrote in. "They are regular visitors to our back yard."

Foxes, include these red foxes, are common on Long Island, but are often unseen because of their impulse to hide from humans. They are usually harmless and only attack if they feel threatened.
