Babylon Village Honors Veterans With Annual Parade

Annual village parade praises our nation's bravest defenders.

Hundreds lined Deer Park Avenue on Monday to salute our area's veterans for their service to our country in Babylon Village's annual Veterans Day Parade.

The winding line of parading guests included veterans of foreign wars – some old and some rather fresh – as well as many of our elected officials, including Mayor Ralph Scordino, the Babylon Village Board and Town Supervisor Rich Schaffer.

Boy Scout and Girl Scout troops also marched along as the Babylon Junior-Senior High School Marching Band blasted out patriotic tunes along the parade route.

We here at Patch would like to thank our nation's veterans once again for their duty and sacrifice for our security at home and abroad.
