Town of Babylon’s 2014 Summer Concert Series Lineup Announced

Town of Babylon's 2014 Summer Concert Series will kick off on Friday, June 27 with a concert at Overlook Beach.

The lineup for this year’s Town of Babylon Summer Concert Series has been announced, according to Town Supervisor Rich Schaffer.

The lineup includes local Billy Joel tribute band Big Shot and rock legend Dicky Betts, a founding member of The Allman Brothers Band.

“We are excited to once again provide a summer full of live entertainment,” Schaffer said. “The lineup for the summer concert series is filled with nationally recognized cover bands and individual artists covering many music tastes – from country to hard rock. The series will provide for many great summer nights.

Big Shot will kick off the series with a free concert on Friday, June 27 at Overlook Beach at 7:30 p.m. Below is the complete series lineup:

Dr. K’s Motown Revue with Sir Duke: Motown and Stevie Wonder Tribute Band – Overlook Beach

July 18, 7:30 p.m.

Jessie’s Girl with Constantine Maroulis: Ultimate 80’s Tribute Band – Tanner Park

July 23, 7:30 p.m. 

Get the Led Out: Led Zeppelin Tribute Band – Tanner Park

July 25, 7:30 p.m.

Tommy James and The Shondells – Tanner Park

July 30, 7:30 p.m.

Bruce in the USA: Bruce Springsteen Tribute Band – Tanner Park

August 1, 7:30 p.m.

Changes in Latitude: Jimmy Buffet Tribute Band – Overlook Beach

August 6, 7:30 p.m.

Dark Star Orchestra: Grateful Dead Tribute Band – Tanner Park

August 8, 7:30 p.m.

New York Oldies Revue – Tanner Park

In addition, Paul Joseph Quartet Concerts will take place on the following dates and times:

  • June 24, 7:00 p.m. at Hermann Griem Park
  • July 10, 7:00 p.m. Brennan High School
