Belly Dancing for Breast Cancer Survivors

The free class for survivors will take place at Adelphi University on November 16.

National Breast Cancer Awareness Month might be over but there are still events that keep the disease and the need for a cure and for support - and fun - for survivors top-of-mind.

Witness a free belly dancing class for breast cancer survivors. It's scheduled for Wednesday, November 16, from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Adelphi University.

Taught by a professional belly dancer, this class could be a refreshing alternative to traditional exercise, organizers said. There, particpants will learn popular belly dancing movements that include hip circles, figure eights, crescent moons, hip twists, undulations, shimmies and more.
