Funeral Services Set for West Babylon Cop Killed in Line of Duty

Funeral services for West Babylon resident Peter John Figoski, a New York City police officer killed Monday while responding to a break-in in Brooklyn, have been scheduled this weekend.

A wake for the father of four, and well-beloved community resident, will be held held on Saturday and Sunday at the Boyd Funeral Home.

The funeral mass will be Monday at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Church in Babylon.

Interment with full departmental honors will follow at North Babylon Cemetery.

The NYC Police Foundation has created the Peter Figoski Scholarship Fund to help pay for the college education of the slain officer's four daughters.
