Babylon High School Reunion Planned for Next September

The Babylon High School Classes of 1964 through 1969 better get their yearbooks ready – it's going to be reunion time next September.

Al Collier, a member of the Class of 1964, is planning a big reunion for the six graduating classes of the mid-to-late 1960's in September 2014 at Lily Flanagan's in the village.

Officer Lopez's Last Words Heard at Accused Killer's Trail

The last words of Babylon Village resident and Nassau County Police Officer Arthur Lopez were heard during a hearing in the trail of his accused murderer.

Lopez's sister, Charo, reportedly weeped as an audio recording was played in the courtroom. She told Newsday she was both proud and sad to hear her brother's voice one more time.

Town Orders West Babylon Home Boarded Back Up

The Town of Babylon has ordered a West Babylon home to be shuttered again after multiple break-ins were recorded to the vacant home.

The home at 8 Joan Place in West Babylon has been empty for over a year, leading to the town having it boarded up for safety reasons and to stop squatters from finding their way in. 

Help Babylon Varsity Cheerleaders Get to Nationals

The Babylon Varsity Cheerleading team is heading to a national competition – with your help, that is.

The team is looking to raise roughly $20,000 to bring the 20-girl team down south to Orlando, Florida for the Universal Cheerleading Association Nationals held on February 8 and 9 at the Walt Disney World Resort.

Babylon Village wine shop Solo Vino has reopened its doors in its brand-new and more spacious location only a few doors down from its previous storefront.

The new location at 55 Deer Park Avenue more than doubles the previous shop's space with a much more inviting interior and shelves stocked with your favorite wines.
