Holiday Toy Drive Underway

State senator asks community to give back and 'extend the holidays' by donating toys for children in need.

Looking to give back this holiday season? Then why not donate a toy for a child in need?

“Extend the Holidays” is a toy drive that Senator Charles Fuschillo organizes each year for the benefit of children in Winthrop Hospital. And it's currently underway.

Residents and community organizations of Lindenhurst and elsewhere on Long Island are invited to participate in Senator Fuschillo’s toy drive by making donations of new, unwrapped toys.

All of the toys that are collected will be delivered after the holiday season, so that children could experience the joys of receiving a holiday gift throughout the year, according to a statement on the state senator's website.

“This is a wonderful tradition which, through the assistance of the community, puts smiles on the faces of many children each year. I welcome anyone who's interested in participating in this program to contact my office,” Senator Fuschillo said in the statement.
