Movie Day Monday

Monday is movie madness day, well at least for today. Here's a look at five new flicks available at the Babylon Public Library.

Just in case you’re looking for a few new good movies to watch this week, the Babylon Library has a slew of new arrivals for consideration. Here’s a list of five of the new films now available:

Alpha and Omega
Family
Come along on the ultimate road-trip adventure that will leave the whole family howling with laughter! When Kate, a take-charge Alpha wolf, and Humphrey, a laid-back Omega wolf, get snatched by park rangers and relocated halfway across the country, the two set off on an incredible journey home!

Bored to Death
Meet Jonathan Ames: writer, romantic, unlicensed private detective. Moonlighting from his job as a novelist and writer for a New York magazine, Jonathan is looking to jettison some heavy emotional baggage (his girlfriend just dumped him, okay?) through an unusual second career of cracking cases of missing persons, espionage and infidelity in the Big Apple.

Conviction
Two-time Academy Award winner Hilary Swank and Sam Rockwell deliver unforgettable performances in this incredible true story that co-stars Minnie Driver, Juliette Lewis and Peter Gallagher. Swank plays Betty Anne Waters, a young woman whose world is shattered when her beloved brother Kenny (Rockwell) is convicted of murder and sentenced to life in prison. Betty Anne embarks on an 18-year journey to set Kenny free, using state-of-the-art forensic technology.

Dinner for Schmucks
There's only one thing keeping aspiring executive Tim (Paul Rudd) from corporate success. He must find the perfect guest to bring to his boss's monthly dinner party, where the winner of the evening is the one who arrives with the biggest buffoon. Luckily, Tim meets Barry (Steve Carell) a guy who re-creates famous works of art with stuffed mice. When the duo show up to dine, the lunacy kicks into high gear.

Going the Distance
Erin (Drew Barrymore) and Garrett (Justin Long) strike sparks for a summer fling in New York City but neither expects it to last once Erin heads home to San Francisco and Garrett remains behind for his Big Apple job. But after six increasingly romantic weeks, neither is sure they want it to end. So despite the opposing coasts, nay-saying friends and family and a few unexpected temptations, the couple just might have found something like love.
