Neighbors Supporting Neighbors Celebrating Strength After Sandy on Saturday

Celebration at Frederick Shores will include BBQ, trick-or-treating, raffles and more.

Neighbors Supporting Neighbors is hosting a "Celebration of Strength" event at the Frederick Shores Beach Club this Saturday.

The event will celebrate the strength shown by families affected by Hurricane Sandy almost one year ago to the day the storm touched down in the the northeast.

The celebration will include barbecued food, trick-or-treating for kids, a DJ and dancing and raffle events.

Representatives from New York Rising, FEMA and Project Hope are expected to be on hand to help answer any questions families might have.

Items up for raffle will include two tickets to see the surprising New York Jets and two front row seats to see a sold-out show featuring the "Long Island Medium" star Theresa Caputo.

The event will get underway at Frederick Shores Beach Club at the end of Little East Neck Road South on Saturday, October 26 at 3 p.m.

Neighbors Supporting Neighbors is a non-profit organization that is "dedicated to transforming Neighborhoods by building the community's strength."
