Construction and a heat wave collaborate to make the road home from the ocean beaches slow-going.
The late spring heat wave gripping the South Shore means hundreds of residents hitting the town and state park beaches.
Road work, however, has the northbound Robert Moses Causeway narrowed to one lane, making the trip back home a long, hot, slow one.
As for the workers atop that sweltering bridge, let's hope they have time for a dip after work.
