Residents Dig Out from the Blizzard of 2010

Snowblowers and trucks took to the roads as a few brave kids and dogs frolicked in drifts up to two feet high once the storm passed by the village Monday afternoon.

Mid-morning Monday saw plenty of snowblowers and a few hardy shovelers as Babylon residents dug out from the season's first big snowstorm.  Babylon was right in the middle of the highest accumulation, estimated at over a foot of snow.  With temperatures remaining chilly, few kids were out playing but car traffic was increasing as households dug out and streets were clear to steady plowing efforts by the village highway department.
