Thrift Shop Scoop of the Week: An Antique Sideboard

Just add some elbow grease, and after a good cleaning, you have an amazing antique piece that could anchor a dining room, or add some gravitas and heft to more contemporary furniture. This sideboard is currently on offer at The Salvation Army in West Babylon on Route 109.
The piece is in good condition but could use some sprucing up. An aged patina, cut wood detailing and a raised top lip are all details that are hard to find with current mass-produced pieces. There is no visible manufacturer or label and dating is unknown. Retails for under $100.
