Town of Babylon to Host 25th Annual Women’s History Month Celebration

"Celebrating Women of Character, Courage & Commitment" with local honorees and live performances.

Babylon Town Supervisor Rich Schaffer has announced that the Department of Human Services will be holding the 25th Annual Women’s History Month Celebration on Saturday, March 29 at 11 a.m. at the Town Hall Annex in North Babylon. 

The Mistress of Ceremonies for the event will be Amityville Village Justice Judge Debra Urbano-DiSalvo and the keynote address will be delivered by Regina Calcaterra, Executive Director of the New York State Moreland Commission to Investigate Public Corruption. The ceremony will feature live performances by In His Steps Studio and musician Priscilla Raine. There will also be a marketplace featuring vendors from local businesses.

 At the celebration, local women will be honored for their extraordinary contributions to our community. Among the honorees are Regina Calcaterra; Jacqueline Fleming-Mitchell; Deborah Harrigan; Danielle Oglesby; Marie O’Dell; Janet Walerstein; LaKesha Jackson and Ganesa Taylor of Pink S.H.O.E.S., Inc; and Theresa DePietto-Roesler and Kim Skillen of Neighbors Supporting Neighbors Babylon Inc.
