Some eight months after Hurricane Sandy blew across the island, the Babylon Boat House at the docks is seeing some much needed repairs.
The landmark near the end of the Babylon Docks and holds public bathrooms took a direct hit from Sandy and amazingly stayed mostly intact. Windows on the building and some siding was ripped off during the storm surge.
The building has remained mostly closed since the storm hit, however, and repairs have just recently begun on the old structure.
