W. Babylon Woman Honored for Child Care Training

Colleen Farrell of West Babylon among 130 that completed certification as a trainer in Program for Infant Toddler Care.

Colleen Farrell, a West Babylon resident , recently was honored at the Child Care Council of Suffolk's 2012 Early Care and Learning Council Annual Meeting and Luncheon for completing her certification as a trainer in the Program for Infant Toddler Care (PITC).

Farrell was among 130 trainers from child care, Head Start, higher education and other Child Care and Referral’s across New York State that were selected to participate in an intensive two-week training at the West Point Military Academy. She then completed the process to become certified in this nationally recognized approach to professional development for infant and toddler caregivers.

Farrell is now listed on the PITC state trainers’ registry.
