Weekend Planner: A Christmas Carol, Holiday Services

Prepare for a big weekend – holiday events, wild weather and more fun to be had around Babylon.

Patch Forecast – Expect tons of rain to start off your weekend Friday morning before tapering off to showers for Saturday morning. A cold front behind the storm will drop temperatures around Babylon Village from a high of 50° on Friday to a breezy 43° on Sunday. Night time lows will dip down to below freezing around 30°, so bundle up at night.

Holiday Events

Stage Light Entertainment is putting on a production of A Christmas Carol at the BACCA Center in Lindenhurst all weekend. Showings on December 21st and 22nd at 8 p.m. and on December 23rd at 12 p.m. and 4 p.m. All shows are $15.00 for adults, $12 for seniors and children.

Seventh-Day Adventist Church will have a free concert featuring their Christmas Choir. "Holy Child" is a celebration of the majesty, mastery and miracle of Christmas – the concert starts on Saturday at 11 a.m.

The Babylon Flyers, along with Long Island Cares, will hold a Holiday Food Drive and Indoor Electric Flying at the West Babylon Community Youth Center on Sunday from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. The groups will be collecting money and non-perishable food items to help those less fortunate families on Christmas.

Everything Else

Enjoy a free basketball game featuring your hometown Babylon Panthers Girls Varsity Basketball team as they taking on Southampton at Babylon High School on Friday evening at 6:15 p.m.

Join a friendly Game of Chess at the Babylon Public Library presented by Long Island Home Recreation on Saturday starting at 10 a.m.
