Weekend Planner: Concerts, Tuna Tournament

Babylon has a great weekend in store after a wacky week of wild weather.

Friday

The Town of Babylon Summer Concert Series continues on with another great performance at Tanner Park. The Chicago-tribute band "" will take the stage to color your world. The fun starts at 7:00 p.m. – bring a blanket, beach towel or lawn chair to sit on, especially since the ground should still be soaked from Thursday's downpour.

 rolls on. Fisherman will take to the seas at 4:30 a.m., but vendors will be down at the Babylon Docks all day selling merchandice and even the fish caught by the boats in competition. Come down and support the club and donate money to the families of U.S. troops. The event lasts all day, but a band will be playing live starting at 7:00 p.m.

The South Shore Theatre Experience will be putting on a new show – The Sting by David Rogers at the BACCA Arts Center in Lindenhurst. Tickets start at $15.00 and the show goes on at 8:00 p.m.

Saturday

The Babylon Tuna Club Tournament and The South Shore Theatre Experience's events will continue at the same times on Saturday.

Babylon Village will be holding its second Sidewalk Sale this month. Stores will be displaying and discounting their best merchandise on the sunny sidewalks of Deer Park Avenue and Main Street starting at 10:00 a.m.

Tanger Outlets at The Arches in Deer Park will host another free summer concert at the Arches Fountain. Come check out the winner of American Idol, Season Eight , performing for the second time this summer, starting at 6:00 p.m.

Sunday

Once again, The Tuna Tournament and "Sting" will be continuing into Sunday. The latter will have two performances at 3:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.

Babylon Village will host its weekly  on the northwest corner of the LIRR Parking Lot. Come see and buy from Long Island's best independent vendors of fruits, vegetables, cheeeses, beers and more. Free parking all day and the market opens at 8:00 a.m. sharp.
