Weekend Planner: Dirty Sock Run, Concerts

The summer begins winding down with the annual charity 10k race and a few more concerts.

Patch Forecast – Babylon Village will see an up-and-down weekend with stormy weather leading to some cooler than average temperatures around the Island. Friday will see a high of 86° with thunderstorms more likely as the evening rolls in, possibly continuing into the day on Saturday, with a high then of 81°. With storms stopping, a mostly sunny Saturday will wrap up our weekend up with a high barely touching 80°.

Friday

All the Perks Espresso Cafe in West Babylon will be hosting an  starting at 7:00 p.m. Come in and enjoy some great teas and coffees while listening to the soothing sounds of an evening of music featuring acoustic and electric guitars.

The Village of Babylon will continue its summer concert series at the Gazebo acrossing Montauk Highway from . This week, Tony Ventiera and Piece of the Rock will perform starting at 8:00 p.m.

Ss. Cyril & Methodius R.C. Church will be continuing its Family Festival of Fun all weekend long with rides, food and fun. Rides open at 6:00 p.m. Friday and Saturday, 2:00 p.m. on Sunday!

Saturday

The Tanger Outlets at The Arches will be hosting a Farmer's Market starting at 11:00 a.m.  Over 20 vendors will be on hand at suite 525 near Starbucks!

Tanner Park will be hosting the  from 12:00 noon to 8:00 p.m. Check out the sounds of bands like Too Blue, Free Grass Union, Acoustic Electrix and legend Bobby Osborne all day. Various foods, craft vendors, family fun and, hopefully, will be on site.

Tanger Outlets at the Arches will also be hosting one of its last in its chain of summer concerts. Long Island's own rock band, , will take to the stage for the second time in 2012 at 6:00 p.m. for free. Check out the Island's hottest and youngest music makers!

Sunday

 continues to run at its location on the north parking lot of the Babylon LIRR. The market opens at 8:00 a.m. with the best organic foods, local milks and bread, cheese, wine and even beer.

will run its 7th Annual  to benefit local food pantries at 8:00 a.m. The race will begin around 169 Park Avenue and there will be raffles and more throughout the event! Come support our area's needy!
