Weekend Planner: Under the Lights, Homecoming

The crisp Fall air sticks with us this weekend for a beautiful three days.

Patch Forecast – A beautiful weekend ahead for Babylon Village. Temperatures will be in the 50's on Friday and Saturday before climbing back to 70° on Sunday with a slight chance of rain. Easily a great time to be outdoors – grab the light jacket and enjoy the foilage.

Friday

Check out some great photograph from local photographer Denise Rafkind on display at the Babylon Bean Coffee House starting at 10 a.m. All works will be on sale. Later that evening, the Bean will host its weekly For Real Music Fridays and Tarot Card Readings with the beautiful Marie, starting at 7 p.m.

The Randy Zwerlein Under the Lights Committee, in association with the Babylon Booster Club, will host the 11th Annual Soccer Under the Lights Games starting at 4:30 p.m. Proceeds will go towards Babylon High School scholarships – the boys soccer game gets under way at 4:30 p.m. and the girls game starts at 7 p.m.

Saturday

The Town of Babylon will hold a free Fall Cleanup Day on Saturday, October 13th, rain or shine, from 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Residential Recycling Center located on Field Street in West Babylon. Residents are permitted unlimited free trips with an automobile and one free trip with pickups, vans or trailers (4 feet by 8 feet). These cleanup days are free of charge. Any vehicle larger than a van or pickup truck will not be permitted. No commercial waste is accepted.

Need some live music in your life? Come enjoy some great music at All the Perks Espresso Cafe in West Babylon as they host Weevos, an acoustic folk duo, at 3 p.m. or... join The Babylon Beanevery Saturday night from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. for live performances by magnifiicant & renowned local musicians. Enjoy great coffee and amazing tunes!

Babylon High School will host their annual Homecoming festivities all day in the village. The Chili & Chowder Cook-Off gets under way at 2 p.m. The Panthers (5-0) will take on Hampton Bays (5-0) also at 2 p.m. Come on down and enjoy the fun!
