Weekend Planner: Varsity Basketball, Book Sale

Patch Forecast – The sunny weather will disappear quickly Friday morning as rain moves into the area and lingers around all weekend long. Constant rain Friday turns to showers throughout the day Saturday before picking up again Sunday. Highs in Babylon Village will peak at 47° for Friday, around 57° on Saturday and drop back to 50° on Sunday. Lows will remain in the lower 40's all weekend long.

Don't forget to drop-off some Christmas love for children at our many Toys for Tots drop locations, including Positions Dance Studio and Long Island Home Recreation. Take 20% off one item if you drop off a toy at the latter location!

The Babylon Public Library will host the Friends of the Babylon Library Book Sale on Friday through Sunday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. This sale has been rescheduled from November 16th. CDs, DVDs and books will be on sale with prices that can't be beat. All proceeds will go towards helping the programs run by the library.

Catch a free game of varsity basketball as the two Babylon Panthers teams warm-up before their seasons start. The Girls Team will take the floor at home tomorrow night at 5 p.m. in a tournament at Babylon High School. The Boys Team will play their final tune-up non-league game at West Islip High School at 5:45 p.m.

The South Shore Theatre Experience will put on A Charlie Brown Christmas at the BaCCA Performing Arts Center in Lindenhurst on Saturday at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. All tickets will cost $10.00 – join Charlie Brown as he searches for the meaning of Christmas in this timeless Christmas Classic.

Want to do some Holiday Shopping in the village without the kids holding you down?
