West Babylon Man Wins $1M in Lottery Powerball Game
Joseph Baboolal wins prize on Quick Pick ticket bought in Deer Park.
A 47-year-old West Babylon man won a $1 million second prize in the February 25 Powerball drawing on a winning Quick Pick ticket he bought at Express on Deer Park Avenue in Deer Park.
Joseph "Joe" Baboolal will recieve his prize as a one-time lump sum payment totaling $661,800. The retail display designer plans to use his winning to pay for his son's college costs and cut back on work from seven day to six days.
He was among nine New York residents who were presented with a special ceremonial Lottery check Tuesday by the New York Lottery's Yolanda Vega.
