Would You Pay Your Children for Good Grades?

Would you pay your children for good grades? 

Testing is becoming more and more important each year, which means in order for students to be successful in school, grades matter. How can parents motivate their children to study for their exams? Some are resorting to cold, hard cash.

According to a July study on children and money by the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA) and Harris Interactive, 48 percent of parents paid out for good grades. The average rate for an A? $16.60.

However, not all parents are convinced that pay outs are the way to go. Some say that since good grades are something that children should be achieveing on their own, additional incentives are too easily turned into bargaining tools.
