2012 BVAC Indie Film Series Kicks Off With 'Tabloid'

Special guest will lead flick discussion following viewing.

The Babylon Village Arts kicks off its 2012 Indie Film Series on February 7 with Errol Morris’ documentary "Tabloid" at 6:45 p.m. at the Babylon Public Library.

Dylan Skolnick, co-director of the Cinema Arts Centre in Huntington,
will lead a discussion after the screening. The event is free and opened to the public.

"Tabloid" is a vivid portrayal of a driven woman, Miss Wyoming Joyce McKinney,
whose romantic obsessions and delusions bring her over the edge into scandal sheet notoriety and an unimaginable life. Chicago Sun-Times critic Roger Ebert gave the flick four stars and calls it "spellbinding."

The program is made possible in part with public funds from the New York State
Council on the Arts and in Nassau and Suffolk Counties in partnership with the
Huntington Arts Council.
