Babylon Village Weekend Planner: April 26

We've got a list of events happening around the area this weekend.

Psychic Medium Jeffrey Wands will perform readings at West Babylon Fire Department on Friday at 7:30 p.m. There will be light refreshments and door prizes. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Proceeds will benefit West Babylon Fire Department Truck Company 4 and Engine Company 8.

Saturday is comedy night at the American Legion Hall in Babylon, beginning at 7 p.m. Tickets are $30 in advance, $35 at the door and include four comedy acts, a buffet dinner, beer wine and soda. There will also be a cash bar.

First Presbyterian Church in Babylon Village will host a "Little Heroes" celebration from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. with bouncy rides, face painting and more for children that have toughed it out this past winter after Hurricane Sandy. (Families are required to signup online for free to this celebration.)

Catch a performance of the award-winning musical "Groucho, A Life in Revue" at BACCA in Lindenhurst on Saturday at 8 p.m.

On Sunday, Farrell's Bar & Grill in West Islip hosts a benefit for Friends of Freddie Pet Rescue at 1:30 p.m. Admission for adults is $15, children $10. Children under 5 are free. There will be a free buffet, raffles and live entertainment.
