Comedy Nite Fundraiser Sat. to Benefit American Legion

Legion's funds reportedly depleted after opening doors to post-Sandy volunteer organizations.

A Comedy Nite fundraiser will be held on Sat., April 27 to benefit the American Legion Post 94 in Babylon Village at 7 p.m.

The comedy event, to be held at the Legion, will feature comedians Carle Karavas, Peter Bales, Rich Walker and Steve Rodman.

According to the Babylon Beacon, the fundraiser will go towards helping the American Legion regain funds lost after donating their time and space during the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy. The Legion became the headquarters for Babylon Helps, providing a staging ground for food and supplies to be organized to hurricane survivors.

Tickets for the event are currently $30, and will be $35 at the door. A ticket includes the event, a buffet dinner, beer, wine and soda for the evening.

Tickets can be purchased at Village Art & Frame at 31 Deer Park Avenue. Call ahead at (631) 376-1070.
