Babylon health food store is a sponsor of the the 3rd Annual EcoCarnival. There will be nature programs, live animals, music, art, food from local restaurants and games.

Town of Islip Annual Earth Day Celebration - 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. (raindate Sunday)

Gillette Park Gillette Avenue, Candee Avenue, Sayville.                               

The free event features music, crafts, tie-dyeing of recycled t-shirts, face painting, animals, a recycled art project contest, and more.

Bixby & Friends Rainforest Rescue Live - 1 p.m. animal show, 2 p.m. performance

Watch Bixby and his friend Treetop the Singing Toucan on an adventure to discover ways we can save the rainforest and the environment in which we live. Through magic, comedy, audience participation, and some LIVE rainforest friends the whole family will learn the value of preservation and conservation. $11

Earth Day Family Walk - 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Connetquot River State Park Preserve Sunrise Highway, Oakdale, NY         

Two-mile cardio walk at the preserve: wear comfortable shoes and two water bottles. Strollers welcome, children must be accompanied by an adult. Hosted by the Friends of Connetquot in celebration of Earth Day. Free admission, $8 parking.

Earth Day Wilderness Hike - 9 a.m. to noon

, Fire Island

Take a 3 mile hike through Otis Pike.
