Amityville's Baskets Galore to Replace The Village Basket
Deer Park Avenue storefront replacing one business with another this week.
No one is Babylon is going to have go much further to get custom made basket gifts – an Amityville basket shop will be taking over The Village Basket's storefront starting next week.
Baskets Galore, currently located at 178 Broadway in Amityville, will move into the storefront at 59 Deer Park Avenue in Babylon Village starting November 5, according to a sign hanging in the storefront on Thursday.
The business' website slightly differed, suggested the new shop would open on November 15.
The owners of The Village Basket recently announced that they would be closing the shop after many years in business. The shop was expected to close today, November 1, according to the original report.
The new business is expected to offer many of the similar products and services The Village Basket has to this time, including party favors, custom candy and centerpieces for all occasions.
Along with other nearby businesses, Village Basket joins the former Coastal Island Treasures, The Hesperus and The Lite Choice as short-time storefront vacancies which have been snapped up by new businesses.
