Babylon Town Board Meeting Agenda

Tuesday's meeting at Town Hall tentatively includes new street names, eagle scouts, parades and site clean-ups.

The Town of Babylon board is scheduled to meet Tuesday morning at at on East Sunrise Highway.

Here’s the tentative agenda the board will discuss as provided by town officials:

  • Adopting amendments to the uniform code of traffic ordinances, and to the Town of Babylon Federal Family and Medical Leave Policy.
  • Appointing Theresa Sabatino as commissioner of general services.
  • Authorizing payment to Abstracts, Inc.; Stuart Besen; and Harris Beach.
  • Authorizing release of bond for street excavation.
  • Accepting 2011 rates for the Long Island Housing Partnership.
  • Authorizing changing of two street names within North Lindenhurst Fire District.
  • Confirming membership to North Amityville Volunteer Fire Company, Incorporated.
  • Proclaiming September 15 as Eagle Scout Andrew Derby Day, and September 18 as Eagle Scout Raymond J. Marciano Day.
  • Authorizing execution of agreement between Babylon Town and Suffolk County.
  • Authorizing supervisor to execute agreement with North Fork Trolley Company and Babylon Town.
  • Requesting conveyance of parcel from Suffolk County to Babylon Town for purpose of redevelopment (section 72-H, general municipal law).
  • Amending resolution number 17 of January 4, 2011, setting salaries for part-time and seasonal positions, and resolution number 371 of July 12, 2011, authorizing release of bond.
  • Authorizing submission of grant application, Babylon Town with New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation.
  • Authorizing public congregation and use of sound equipment in Babylon Town on August 16 to 19 for Maisie Film, Incorporated, and August 21 for Signal Eight Saloon.
  • Authorizing permission for parade on September 17 in Babylon Town for West Babylon Football League and October 15 for North Babylon High School student government.
  • Authorizing contracts with Nuisance Wildlife Control; DC Project, Inc.; and Long Island Housing Partnership, Inc.
  • Awarding lighted holiday garland, holiday bright lights or equal.
