Bohlsen Presents Check to Babylon Breast Cancer Coalition

Owners of Monsoon raised $8,000 during October's Think Pink campaign.

Michael and Kurt Bohlsen, owners of The Bohlsen Restaurant Group, presented a check to the Babylon Breast Cancer Coalition and three other coalitions on November 1st.

The year's contributions brought their five-year total of funds raised for local breast cancer coalitions in Huntington, Babylon, West Islip and Islip to $70,000 with this year’s Think Pink October contribution of $8,000.

“We are proud to say, thanks to the patronage of our diners over the past five years, our Think Pink October campaigns have raised $70,000 for breast cancer coalitions," said Michael Bohlsen in a statement. "The cause is close to our hearts as a family and as an employer. It also serves our customers well. The work these coalitions do at a local level is very helpful to those in the communities where we were born, raised, live and work."

The group donates $1- $2 from each Think Pink menu item, dishes or drinks specially comprised of antioxidant ingredients, ordered throughout October at their leading Long Island restaurants. Menus benefit the Huntington Breast Cancer Action Coalition from Prime; Babylon Breast Cancer Coalition from Monsoon; West Islip Breast Cancer Coalition from H2O Seafood Grill; and Islip Breast Cancer Coalition from Tellers Chophouse, VERACE and Beachtree Café.
