Business Spotlight: Bubble is More Than a Clothing Store

Need a special place to spend time with your children? Stop by this unique business on the corner of Main Street and Deer Park Ave.

From the outside, Bubble appears to be a children’s clothing store but as soon as you walk into this colorful wonderland, you know you’ve entered someplace rather special.

Six years ago, when Jenny Dellafranca and mom, Karen Hazelton opened the store at its original location they sold maternity and baby clothes.

The store has has since evolved to a place where customers can have personalized themed birthday parties, take a class, work on fun arts and crafts on a casual afternoon, have beautiful photos of your children taken, or shop for beautiful children’s clothes, games and books.

“I am a early childhood teacher. I taught kindergarten for years.  I enjoy working with children,” said Dellafranca, “I love anything creative, but I love to shop. So having this store is a dream come true. I can go to these shows in the city and pick out everything beautiful. We try to sell gift items, whether it’s mom or grandma buying gifts for special occasions," she said. "We try to make everything we bring in special, whether it be geared to losing your first tooth… or first day of kindergarten.”

Dellafranca takes the time to make some of the hair bows, and tutu sets, as well as monograms items, and embroiders names on christening gowns.

“We hope to offer a fun and exciting creative place for children to learn and explore with their parents,” said Dellafranca.

“We want it to be a place where there’s interaction and communication between parents and their children. For example, the craft bar is not a drop off.  It’s a place for you to come and share an experience with your child, even if it’s just talking about their school day or about what their crafting.”
