Business Spotlight: Young Imagination Moves to Bigger Location

Patch brings you the latest news about downtown comings and goings in the village's business district.

The popular village corner toy store Young Imagination is moving: across the street. The independent toy boutique is making the move for more space and better parking. The current Deer Park Avenue location, on the corner of Grove Place, was a tight fit for the shop, says owner Karen Young.

"There are always more items I'd like to have in stock, but we just didn't have the room," she explains.

The new location is slated to be open by the last week of July. Young is especially excited about the benefits the new location.

"We can now offer private parking, a yard for story times, and a more open store."

The store specializes in hand-picked high-quality toys and crafts for infants through preteens.

Young Imagination will take over the space of the former Chapman Skateboards, which is relocating to warehouse space the company owns near the Tanger Outlets in Deer Park. The Grove Place corner shop space is now available for rent.
