Chamber of Commerce Postpones Old Fashioned Christmas
Rain forces event to be canceled until next Friday.
The Babylon Village Chamber of Commerce has announced tonight's scheduled Old Fashioned Village Christmas has been postponed due to the weather.
The annual event has been rescheduled until next Friday, December 13th.
"Unfortunately the old fashioned village Christmas event scheduled for this evening has been postponed due to weather," chamber officials wrote on their Facebook page. "The event will be rescheduled for next Friday."
While the festive event is on hold until a week from now, most of the Village's stores expect to stay open later tonight.
"Please note that even though the event has been postponed many of the villages stores and businesses will open late this evening as well," said chamber officials.
The annual event kicks off the village's holiday season with special deals, a visit from Santa Claus and holiday treats up and down Deer Park Avenue.
