Eternal Spa "Moving On," To Be Replaced

Babylon Village spa location was open for eight years.

Eternal: The Spa, a mainstay along the Main Street storefronts in Babylon Village, will be "moving on," according to a message left by store owners on the spa's answering machine and their Facebook page.

"After eight wonderful years of business and friendship, Eternal will be moving on," the recorded message says to callers at Eternal's listed phone number. "Thank you for the memories."

The business at 11 West Main Street had gone through a few name changes in 2012, including its original "Eternal, The Spa" and "Phountain," as the business refocused its attention on different products. The spa had most recently specialized in its trademark treatments and the selling of alkaline water.

The recorded message also notes two current employees at Eternal will remain in Babylon – Trish will work at the same location when it becomes a new business later this month while Ray will be in China through April and will work in a Babylon Village nail salon when she returns.

Several confused customers left messages on the Facebook page for the spa.

"Just found out because I sent someone down there in person that you are closed for renovations with no new open date," wrote one customer.

According to the reply messages, Eternal will be replaced by a new waxing facility called Simply Wax Center, which is expected to open by about April 1st.

The new facility will be honoring gift certificates to Eternal throughout the rest of the year.
