Fire Island Shave Ice Holding Official Grand Opening Saturday
Shaved ice storefront will feature hula dancers and free giveaways.
The village's newest hot spot to cool off will officially hold a grand opening celebration this Saturday at their Fire Island Avenue location.
Fire Island Shave Ice, which opened it's doors last week to villagers and visitors looking for some way to cool off from the heat wave, will hold a celebration on Saturday starting at noon.
The celebration for the new shave ice dessert business will include free giveaways, hula dancers and a free raffle for a beach cruiser bike.
The owners on their Facebook page promised "much, much more" will be seen during the bash.
The business will also hold a second day of celebrations with more hula dancers on Sunday from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
