OK Petroleum will soon be based in Hauppauge after the company announced plans to build new headquarters – for $6.6 million – on Commerce Drive, according to a report published by Newsday.

"The new building will allow us to grow in all divisions and make our business more profitable," vice president and co-owner Leo Musacchia told the Suffolk County Industrial Development Agency.

Newsday reported that the IDA will give OK Petroleum $777,669 in tax breaks as it builds a 63,449-square-foot building. The company currently operates out of a 12,000-square-foot office/warehouse complex in West Babylon, which it will attempt to sell.

Newsday also reported the company will also add 10 employees to its roster of 47 over the next two years.
