Last Chance: Monsoon Celebrating Chinese Valentine's Day on Thursday

Local high-scale, Asian-themed restaurant will be offering discounted dinner all evening.

 will be offering up "Lucky in Love" $25.00 Three-Course Prix Fixe Dinners starting at 5:00 p.m. to celebrate the holiday of Chinese Valentine's Day.

The restaurant, noted for bringing in celebrity guests like Entourage , will be serving up "Lucky in Love," a three-course prix fixe deal to encourage sharing and tasting of the entire dinner menu that the restaurant offers. 

According to a release by the restaurant, the holiday is "sparked by a love story revolving around the constellations." The story goes that when the stars Altair and Vega are high in the night sky, a scene is set for the tale of of the women of the skies and mortal man whom the Sky Goddess forbid from seeing each other except for once a year, which happens to fall on this Thursday, August 23rd.

In celebration of the romantic holiday, Monsoon is serving up a deep discount on their menu with 25 appetizers such as edamame dumplings in mushroom sake broth or crispy fried tofu with chili radish while fish and meat entrees include miso glazed black cod with babyspinach and spicy eggplant; millionaire’s curry crab with colossal lump crabmeat, curry, pea shoots, chili and egg; shakingbeef of filet mignon with shishito peppers and sweet soy glaze; and sweet and sour chicken with pineapple.

Dinner includes dessert for two by Chef Michael Wilson – a triple serving of soft ice cream in unique flavors.

All told, the $25 price could save diners at least 40 percent off of a normal menu price.

The romantic evening gets underway starting at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. For reservations, make sure to call ahead at (631) 587-4400.
