Old Fashioned Night of Shopping Kicks Off Holiday Season
Christmas Spirit was high in the air – along with the wonderful smells, sights and sounds of the Business District.
The Babylon Village Chamber of Commerce helped get the holiday season underway within the business district on Friday, holding its annual Old Fashioned Night of Shopping during the evening.
Despite a cold chill in the air, large numbers of residents, visitors and potential customers flocked to the village's main strip on Deer Park Avenue to see the beautifully decorated storefronts and goodies on sale.
Children hopped up-and-down, awaiting the arrival of the one and only Santa Claus. The holly-jolly king of Christmas made several appearances throughout the night at Santa stop-points, posing for photos from his horse-drawn carriage and handing out small toys to all the good little boys and girls.
