Solo Vino Opens Doors at New Location

Wine shop gains new shop at former antique shop's location, only a few doors down from previous storefront.

Babylon Village wine shop Solo Vino has reopened its doors in its brand-new and more spacious location only a few doors down from its previous storefront.

The new location at 55 Deer Park Avenue more than doubles the previous shop's space with a much more inviting interior and shelves stocked with your favorite wines.

The shop officially opened its doors just in time for the rescheduled Old Fashioned Village Christmas event last Friday evening.

Owner Massimiliano Gargiulo has been hard at work moving his wine shop to help his other business, wine bar Molto Vino, expand into the shop's former space.

Gargiulo was given the okay by the village board this past August, clearing the way to widen the wine bar from 19-seats to over 50 by the time the bar's renovations are completed.

Solo Vino, in the meantime, had been closed as renovations were made in its new storefront.

The wine shop takes over a shop that had been vacant since the summer when former tenant Hesperus Antiques moved out of Babylon Village to Texas.
