Thanksgiving Planner: Village Eateries Offer No-Cook Options

Whether your Thanksgiving guest list is short and sweet or you just plain don't feel like cooking, Babylon Village restaurants and caterers offer a range of options for the holiday meal.

If you want to eat out, is hosting a specal four-course Thanksgiving meal. The dinner starts with choice of butternut squash soup or an autumn salad. The second course offers a choice between turkey dumplings, a mozzarella napoleon, and a calamari dish. The third is the most traditional, with choice of a turkey breast with fixings among a host of entrees. Dessert features pumpkin cheesecake. Call for reservations and pricing information.

If you want to eat at home but skip the hard part, get a full Thanksgiving meal cooked for you. All you have to do is pick it up and heat it at home.

is offering two complete menus, complete with an 18-20 pound Bell & Evans turkey and all the trimmings. They also have an a la carte sides menu, sold by the full or half tray. Additional desserts can also be purchased, but both of the meal plans come with an apple and a pumpkin pie.

The $239.99 package includes choice of one appetizer, the bird with gravy, stuffing, rolls, cranberry sauce and two sides plus dessert, while a $299.99 meal includes a pasta course as well.

Another catering option comes from on John Street. They are taking orders now for a complete prepared Thanksgiving meal, with turkey, stuffing, gravy and cranberry sauce sized for one. Additional side dishes can be purchased a la carte, including mashed potatoes, candied sweet potatoes, creamed spinach, and string beans almondine.
