Unwelcome Nor'Easter's Snow Coats the Village

A powerful nor'easter is producing heavy snow over western portions of Long Island.

A power-packed nor'easter is slamming into Long Island and other parts of the tri-state area just a little over a week after Hurricane Sandy came ashore.

In what could be a first for any area, Babylon Village and the rest of Long Island is experiencing snowfall from a nor'easter only nine days after a hurricane made landfall nearby. National Weather Service forecasts are calling for anywhere between a coating and two inches of snow across our area.

Early on during the snowfall, places across Babylon accumlated the white stuff in places where cold temperatures easily took hold. As always – we ask you drive slowly, especially with slippery leaves falling and snow and ice on the ground!
