Visions for Vacancies: Readers Offer Up Empty Deli Location Ideas

As part of our continuing 'Visions for Vacancies' series Patch offers up feedback from local residents on what kind of business they would like to see in empty storefront locations.

Last week Patch posed the question regarding the Bayview Deli down by the waterfront. Two residents are hoping a new deli opens. As Susan Traina noted, "we liked haivng one close by."

"I also would like another deli to open there- we need something like that in the neighborhood and have missed the convenience," wrote reader Jennifer.

One resident wasn't aware the previous store had closed. "We used to run by there all the time," wrote Gary Weiner.

Residents hoping for a new deli may be in luck as reader Bill Dempsey noted that there's a sign now in the window that a new deli will open come April 1.
