White Iris Florist Closes Its Doors

A village favorite florist has closed after many years in Babylon.

White Iris Florist, a longtime florist located on Deer Park Avenue in Babylon Village, has closed its doors after many years in business.

AroundBabylon blogger Aaron Stein noticed the storefront had been shuttered last week after serving the village for at least the last decade.

The departure leaves the village with two other florists – Argyle Flower Shoppe and Keyser's Flowers on Route 109. The former is reportedly still up for sale.

The florist, which was dark on Monday afternoon, now features two large "for rent" signs – one for the space itself and another for commuter parking available near the storefront.

The shop is roughly 1000 square feet, according to its for rent sign, and available immediately from its owner. Those interested in the space should call (516) 795-2697.

White Iris joins a list of other Babylon businesses that have closed up since the summer, including Coastal Island Treasures, The Hesperus, The Jewelry Shop and The Lite Choice.
